Technologies

“The one stop shop...”
“...providing the ultimate technologies for all your thermoplastic part needs.”

The production equipment and manufacturing methodologies employed in the modern IBER-OLEFF production facilities are kept right at the leading edge of technology.

Development

“A step ahead...
...the one that makes the difference”

IBER-OLEFF has capacity to develop and manufacture thermoplastic components and functional modules, of small and large dimensions, regardless of their complexity and functionality. To achieve the Best results, our designers and engineers consider economic and product specific factors.

As computational support tools, our design team has at its disposal several technologies including CATIA V5. In addition, we have technologies and skilled people to perform airflow investigation, static and dynamic mechanical analysis, vibro-acoustic analysis, fatigue analysis, light transmittance measurement, etc.

Injection Moulding

“Our reputation matters to us...
...We aim high on quality and innovative investments that make a difference to our clients”

An injection moulding unit with 57 machines, whose clamping force ranges from 4 tons to 500 tons, provides IBER-OLEFF of an extraordinary ability and capacity to develop and manufacture thermoplastic components and functional modules, regardless of their complexity and functionality.

In terms of injection moulding capability and capacity, IBER-OLEFF has high level competences and experience in single and multi-component injection, sequential injection – Tandem, low pressure injection, injection and compression Below our complete list of injection moulding machines.

Painting

“We relentless look for the outstanding...
...as part of our everyday work”

A decoration area with four state-of-the-art painting lines, with the capability to decorate thermoplastic components and functional systems, regardless of their complexity and functionality, within a wide range of painting materials.

The decoration area is equipped by cutting edge technologies: two automatic spray painting machines, one manual spray painting booth, one water base robotized painting line, one four-color high precision tampoprinting machine, three two-color tampoprinting machines, two laser hatching machines and one plasma application machine. Apart of these technologies, that area has a team highly qualified and certified in each painting process.

To assure high quality level and process´ stability, the painting booths are equipped with a sophisticated air control system that allows an adequate manufacturing environments’ temperature, humidity and pressure. In attach you can find our complete list of painting equipment.

Welding

“Faced with insurmountable challenges...
...We have the solutions”

Depending of material type and the component complexity, IBER-OLEFF can apply different welding techniques and equipments:

  • Thermal welding technology – 8 equipments: the simplest and most versatile plastic joining technique. Its applications vary from small components to large pipelines with high strength and hermetic requirements.
  • Hot air welding technology – 4 equipments: is a common fabrication technique for manufacturing smaller items. A specially designed heat gun, called a hot air welder, produces a jet of hot air that softens both the parts to be joined and a plastic filler rod, all of which must be of the same or a very similar plastic.
  • Ultrasonic welding technology – 2 equipments: It is commonly used for joining dissimilar materials with complex geometries. High-frequency ultrasonic acoustic vibrations are locally applied to workpieces being held together under pressure to create a solid-state weld.
  • Vibration welding technology – 1 equipment: For large part assembly requiring high throughput, linear vibration welding is a widely used joining technology for thermoplastic parts. During vibration welding, one part half is held stationary in a holding fixture while the other part half is frictionally vibrated against it on a linear plane, creating frictional heat at the joining surfaces.

Laser Engraving

“Cutting edge laser technology”

Laser engraving is the practice of using lasers to engrave or mark an object. The technique does not involve tool bits which contact the engraving surface and wear out. The cutting speed combined with our software provide a quality solution for your production needs at an affordable price.

In case of parts for lighting panels, e.g. radio bezels, this technology is considered advantageous in comparison with alternative bi-material injection process – more economic and faster. In terms of capability, IBER-OLEFF is equipped by three laser hatching machines with two head. This equipment/methodology allows simultaneous engraving of two thermoplastic parts.

Tampoprinting

“Provide a one-stop resource for tampoprinting”

Tampoprinting, combines rubber stamping and offset printing. The desired image is etched into a metal plate, also known as a cliché. Ink is deposited in this plate and then a rubber pad or tampon is pressed against the plate to pick up the image. The pad is then pressed against the surface to be decorated, leaving the image behind. Because of the precision of the thermoplastic parts and the flexibility of the rubber pad, this process can produce very finely detailed images on irregular surfaces.

IBER-OLEFF has in-house four pad printing machines: one four-color high precision tampoprinting machine and three two-color tampoprinting machines.

Assembly

“Full service supplier...”

The IBER-OLEFF’s assembly workshops integrates the most advanced processes and technologies: assembly lines, pallet assembly lines, plate assembling aero-conveyor, image control systems, laser hatching machines, hot air welding machines, ultrasonic welding machines, vibration welding machines, thermal welding machines, hot stamping machines and robotized grease application.~

Metrology

“Quality management is fixed element within our company culture”

Commitment to quality is absolute. Compliance with some of the world´s most stringent quality requirements demands products undergo rigorous checks using sophisticated inspection and testing techniques. In order to respond that paradigm, IBER-OLEFF has established a dimensional inspection lab, well-equipped and certified, to inspect and ensure all product´s quality requirements.

The metrology division’s mission is to support the development of products doing dimensional analysis of three-dimensional mathematical models, as well as, checking and calibrating all equipment. IBER-OLEFF has in-house three-dimensional (3D) measuring machines and spectrum photometer for measuring color.
